Google search app has finally entered dark mode on Android 10 devices
Google has been providing a dark model for all kinds of applications, but the most time-consuming is the main Google App or Google search app. Well, in the end, it caught up with other Google Apps and got the dark mode treatment that most people have been waiting for. Although users running Android 10 on their devices have set system wide dark settings, your Google search app can now follow or even execute its own mode, which may be different from your system.
The system wide dark mode setting option is one of the major changes that Android 10 updates bring to the device. However, third-party developers, including Google, still need to introduce dark mode into their applications to follow the system wide selection mode. When Android 10 was launched, many of these apps immediately added dark mode, but Google, the manufacturer of Android, was one of the later adopters.
Now it's finally possible to turn Google's search app on the dark side when you need it. Update your app to the latest version, and the system level mode you choose for your device will automatically follow Google Apps. However, you can also choose to make it different from the device's default settings. If you choose bright light for your system but want your application to be different, go to settings and choose dark light, and vice versa.
The dark mode of Google Apps is actually dark gray, rather than the black color of AMOLED that other apps, such as Facebook messenger or instagram, have been using. So it may not be as dark as you expect, but it's still better than all the white space on the screen. If you're in the Google ecosystem, you should also get used to dark gray, which is their dark mode.
Google search dark mode option has been launched for Android 10 users. If you haven't seen it yet, it should be released by the end of the week, so please wait.
