Amd announces three ryzen3000xt performance desktop processors
Yesterday, amd added a new mobile GPU with higher performance to Apple's 16 inch MacBook Pro, but today's focus is on new desktop processors in the form of unlocked ryzen 9 3900xt, ryzen 7 3800xt and ryzen 5 3600xt.
Just in April, amd announced the fastest ryzen 3 desktop processor ever: 3100 and 3300x. Now, with the launch of XT brand, the performance standards of ryzen 5, 7 and 9 series chips are improving. Amd clearly pointed out that "the 3000xt series desktop processors have been optimized with higher upgrade frequency, and can provide elite performance that dominates game and content creation."
Ryzen 53600xt is a six core (12 thread) processor with a base frequency of 4.5ghz from 3.8ghz. It uses 35MB cache, 95w TDP and is expected to sell for $249. The next step is ryzen 7 3800xt, which consists of eight cores (16 threads) and runs from 3.9ghz to 4.7ghz. The cache size increased slightly to 36mb and TDP to 105W. It is expected to pay $399 for this. Finally, we have the new XT chip with the highest performance. Ryzen 9 3900xt is a 12 core (24 thread) processor, which runs at 3.8ghz and is upgraded to 4.7ghz. It's the same as the tdxt, which has a huge cache size of 10570mb. It retails for $499. All three processors use AM4 slots and are expected to be available on July 7.
