Samsung's $999 Galaxy Chromebook will be released on April 6
At CES in January, Samsung teased our high-end Chromebook with the Galaxy brand. Samsung Galaxy Chromebook will be officially released on April 6.
As reported by The Verge, the 2-in-1 Galaxy Chromebook will be purchased directly from Samsung or through Best Buy for $999 starting next Monday. The 13.3-inch 4K OLED display will be surrounded by mercury gray or carnival red shell colors to choose from. Inside there is the 10th generation Comet Lake Intel Core i5-10210U processor, 8GB DDR3 RAM and 256GB SSD.
When PCMag spent some time on the Galaxy Chromebook at CES, there were a lot of favorites. The build quality meets your expectations for such an expensive device, the colors that pop up from the AMOLED touch screen, and the safety stylus contained in the case, increase the overall practicality of this Chromebook.
Although its price is one thousand US dollars, but Samsung clearly aimed this device at students. In tent mode, it can be used as a laptop, tablet and entertainment device. There are also two cameras, one above the screen, as you wish, and the other above the keyboard. When the Chromebook is in tablet mode, the second "world-facing" camera is pointed at the user, allowing students to easily capture the images the teacher shows to them during class or lecture.
