Amazon's trexpro enters the global market with its 10ATM waterproof performance and improved heart rate tracking function
Huami's (soon to be Zepp's) latest smart watch is here with amazfit T-Rex pro. As the name suggests, this is a more powerful version of the original T-Rex that we evaluated last year. Although it is not without limitations, we found that it is a good smart watch option.
The new version brings improved 10ATM water resistance (compared with the previous 5atm) and a new biotracker 2 PPG optical sensor, which should provide more accurate heart rate measurements. The rest of the specification sheet remains essentially unchanged.
T-Rex Pro is equipped with a circular 1.3-inch AMOLED display with 360x360 pixel resolution and constant brightness. The case is made of polycarbonate, the button is made of metal, and the strap is made of soft silicone.
You will get mil-std-810 as well as vehicle GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and Galileo positioning. The size is 47.7x47.7x13.5mm and the weight is 59G (without strap).
T-Rex Pro also has SpO2 saturation monitor and sleep tracking function. Onboard activity tracking can also be used in more than 100 motion modes. Thanks to its rugged design and water resistance, the T-Rex Pro is also swimming proof.
Equipped with a 390 MAH battery, it usually provides up to 18 days of durability with a single charge. Charging is done through a dedicated magnetic rack.
Zepp's RTOS operating system covers software. You can get standard notification management, music controls, alerts and reminders. The watch can be connected to any device running at least Android 5.0 or IOS 10 and later.
Amazfit T-Rex Pro will be available in meteorite black, desert grey and steel blue. The retail price is set at $180 and is scheduled to start selling today in amazfit's online store.
British buyers have to pay 139. Initial sales through Argos and Amazon began on March 31.
