Xiaomi pocof1 obtains 4K 60fps video recording support through the latest MIUI beta

 Poco F1 has received a beta version of the company's firmware MIUI update, which brings 4K 60fps video recording support to the device. In addition to poco F1, Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi 8 pro, the flagship products of Chinese technology companies last year, also have the function of recording video at 4K 60fps. The beta update comes a month after poco India General Manager C Manmohan announced on twitter that "... 4K 60 FPS will be launched in a stable update in February.". It is reported that this specific update will be launched on March 1.



The message is a few days after poco F1 obtained the widevine L1 certificate through MIUI beta OTA update. With widevine L1 certification, poco F1 users will be able to stream high-quality content in high-definition resolution. However, even after the update, users will not be able to stream Netflix's HD content, because only certificates for streaming HD content on Amazon Prime video and hotstar have been introduced.

Poco said that once beta testing of the feature is completed, it will be released to all users. Currently, poco F1 has widevine L3, which only allows 540p streaming on hotstar, Amazon Prime video and Netflix.


In January, MIUI 102.2.0 update brought 960fps slow motion video recording, 120fps and 240fps slow motion video, low light mode and error repair. The update also brings enhanced low light mode to improve photos taken in the dark. In low light mode, you can take eight images with different exposures, and then combine them into one to get a brighter and clearer picture. It is reported that the function had been tested one month before it was launched.
