The new nintendoswitch will be released in early 2021

Nintendo switch is approaching its third birthday. It seems Nintendo plans to launch a new switch model early next year to celebrate.

As VGC reports, many hardware manufacturers that provide Nintendo with existing switch and switch Lite model components have indicated that Nintendo is preparing to launch new models. As you might expect, this will be an upgrade to the existing hybrid console and will provide better display and higher performance.

Existing models use 6.2-inch and 5.5-inch 720p displays, respectively, and rely on NVIDIA's TEGRA X1 system on chip (SOC). Nintendo's most likely upgrade is the 1080p display, but the SOC upgrade is unclear. According to the verge, NVIDIA is no longer offering general mobile SOC to third parties, although it may become an exception to Nintendo due to its large orders. No matter what Nintendo decides to do, backward compatibility is mandatory.
